Out Enjoying Nature
Assemblage, 2.5 x 2.5 x 1 in
This tiny round diorama holds a little brown horse out enjoying the beauty of nature. Horses represent strength to me, and here that strength is relaxed. The horse has a dark mane and tail, and it walks with its head lowered through a lush meadow of deep green moss and clusters of soft pink and cream blossoms. Behind it, two rugged, snow-dusted peaks rise against a shimmering midnight-blue sky, and a single crystal glints overhead like a moon.
The scene is tiny, but it feels solid and complete, a whole landscape tucked into a circle small enough to hold in one hand. The moss and flowers spill past the rim of the blue frame, as if the meadow can’t be contained. It’s a reminder that strength doesn’t always look fierce. Sometimes it looks like a quiet walk at night in a beautiful place.
Details:
Method: Assemblage
Quality: Solid
Mood: Delightful
Materials: Miniature horse figure, model moss and foliage, textured rock-like mountains, a rhinestone moon, and painted blue sky in a round frame
Small, sturdy, and full of joy, this piece celebrates strength in its gentlest form.
